The Gold Coast City Council Flora and Fauna website aims to adhere to the accessibility needs of its wide range of users. The accessibility of this website is based on the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Accessibility Guidelines.
Skip links
Skip links are provided at the beginning of each page to allow quick access to the content and footer sections of the page. A screen reader will pick these links up and you can also access them using the Tab key on the keyboard.
Tab order
By pressing the Tab key you can jump through the various sections on the website. The tab order starts with the skip links at the beginning of the page then preceeds through the remaining website sections in a logical order. To traverse backwards in tab order use the combination of Shift + Tab together.
