Uncommon cryptic lowland species of melaleuca and dry and wet eucalypt habitats. Also in cleared farmland with adequate cover.

Pimpama, Natural Bridge - Springbrook NP, Southport
Other locality
Not recorded from the Gold Coast, but it has been recorded from many sites in Brisbane and elsewhere in south east Queensland, and it would be expected to occur on the Gold Coast. It is very secretive and difficult to find.
