Other locality
This snake is widespread but probably not common. It has declined in recent years, perhaps following the spread of cane toads.

Habitat comment
A decline in this species has been noted over much of Queensland, including Tallebudgera Valley, following the spread of cane toads. It appears to have disappeared or almost disappeared from many of its haunts, but may be making a slow comeback.
